Peata is a Māori/Pan-Asian New Zealand actress and filmmaker known for her versatility and dedication to the arts. Her film appearances have been featured on TVNZ, Air New Zealand flights, Whakaata Māori, NZIFF, and the Toronto International Film Festival. She is also a versatile actor on stage and has toured nationally as a vocalist and instrumentalist in bands. Beyond acting, Peata has made a significant impact behind the camera, working as a first assistant camera, writer, and director. Her directorial work in a one-act play for TheatreFest (2024) earned her a Drama Development Trust scholarship to attend Theatre New Zealand's 2025 Summer Intensive with Lara Macgregor. |
