| Lucia Davison (Ngāpuhi, Ngāi Te Rangi, Waitaha) comes from a family of performing artists and has been immersed in stage and screen from a young age. This year, she made her feature film debut in Where's Smoky?, portraying the lead character’s younger self. Beyond acting, Lucia is a highly accomplished dancer, trained across all genres. She recently achieved an incredible five 1st Place National Champion titles at the Evolution Dance Competition Grand Finals in Gold Coast. Lucia takes great pride in her Māori heritage. A passionate kapa haka performer and fluent te reo Māori speaker, she was honored with the Māori Leadership Excellence Award at her kura. Now home-schooled, she runs an artist space with her mum and dedicates most of her time to training and performing. With a bright future ahead, Lucia dreams of one day starring in a Māori feature film. |
