| Layla is a Caribbean-British NZ European actor and singer with a rich background in performance. She trained at the Unitec School of Performing and Screen Arts, where she honed her craft. Since graduating, Layla has been involved in a variety of projects, with theatre highlights including Animal, Po' Boys and Oysters and Snowflake. On screen, she’s appeared in The Newest Zealander on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and in the music video for Now I’m Whole by Mazbou Q In addition to her acting, Layla is a trained vocalist, having grown up performing in community musical theatre and receiving lifelong vocal coaching from her father, Winston Pitt, a former West End performer and vocal coach. She has also performed as a singer for Black Creatives Aotearoa at Jingle Beatz, recorded vocals for The Wonderland Glow Show 2021, and is currently working on her own music. |
