This experience sparked her interest in acting. Since then, she has been honing her craft at Pt Chevalier Drama Club. Foua Mia also played a supporting role in the 2023 short film Teine, which screened at the Hawaiian International Film Festival as well as various festivals in New Zealand. Outside of acting, she plays water polo, swims, and loves performing Kapa Haka. Educated in te reo Māori, Foua Mia is the first generation since her great-grandmother to speak the language and treasures this privilege. |
